Getting Your Home Ready To Show In 10 Minutes Or Less

You’ve just received the call and you have a showing.  Now what?  You have 10 minutes…

• Smile, you have a showing :-)

• Make the beds

• Grab a laundry basket to pick up the clutter and store it in your car

• Empty all waste baskets into a trash bag and dispose

• Neatly fold your towels

• Put down the toilet seats

• Wipe down countertops and sinks with a damp cloth or antibacterial wipe

• Turn on all lights in the house

• Open the curtains and blinds

• Remove any countertop clutter

• Tip: Put a drop of vanilla on light bulbs (while off), turn the lights on, to quickly give that fresh-baked-cookie aroma

You have an hour…

• Do everything on the 10-minute List

• Vacuum all carpeted areas

• Sweep or swiffer all hard-surfaced floors

• Spot mop sticky spots

• Windex glass surfaces

• Clean toilet bowl and tubs and showers

• Clear kitchen countertops

• Put away all dishes, dish drainer, and cleaners

• Wipe down kitchen cupboards

• Make sure cobwebs and dustbunnies are eliminated

• Put away laundry

• Sweep the front walkway

• Shake out the doormat

Take a quick tour of your house to make sure everything is in place. Now, go enjoy a cup of coffee and relax during your showing!
