4th of July Activities in Kansas City - celebrate & enjoy our Freedom!

With the 4th of uly just a few days away - there is so much going on to celebrate this weekend!  Enjoy and be safe! 

Stilwell:  The Spirt if Stilwell

This is the communities largest event all year!  The local residents come out to celebrate and have an afternoon and evening of fun!!! 

4:00pm – 6:00 pm - Community Carnival

Location: Stilwell United Methodist Church (193^RD & Metcalf) - A community carnival is sponsored and hosted by the Stilwell United Methodist Church.  There will be carnival games for the kids, hot dogs, chips, soda and water along with sno-cones and popcorn.  All games and food are free to the community.

6:00 pm - Fourth of July Parade - Parade Route

Location: Metcalf Avenue South and East on 199^th  - The parade will line up along 192^nd Street (a change this year from years past) and travel down Metcalf toward 199^th street, turn east at Stilwell Station traveling along 199^th street into downtown Stilwell.   The Judges stand is located at the Stilwell Elementary School.   There is still time to be in the parade. REGISTER FOR THE PARADE or register the day of the parade starting at 5:00 pm at 192^nd Street and Metcalf. There is a spirit that sets apart the Stilwell community and those that live here.  A pride exists within the community and that strength and sprit of friendship creates a community that truly stands the test of time.  Trophies will be awarded to the parade participant judged as being the grand champion of community spirit as well as 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

7:30 pm – 8:30 pm – Fourth of July Games

Location: KCPL Grounds (199^th & 69 Hwy) - Grace Bible Church will sponsor and host games prior to the fireworks display.  Games will be held on KCPL property with music from DJ Ponder. Games, including a Cake Walk, are free with a prize table for all who participate.  Hot Dogs will be available for purchase. 

9:00pm - Fireworks Display

Location: KCPL Grounds (199^th & 69 Hwy)  - Donations from you, the residents and businesses in the community, fund Stilwell’s annual firework display each year.  KCPL has again donated the use of their property for the display and events. The firework display is scheduled to launch at 9:00pm.  Depending on pending weather and conditions the firework display may launch as early as 8:30pm but not later than 9:30pm.

Overland Park:  Star Spangled Spectacular!

Location:  Corporate Woods

The events start at 4 pm.  Make sure you come and bring lawn chairs & blankets!

Prairie Vilage:  Village Fest

It's a full day at Village Fest for everyone!! 

The activities start as early as 7:30 am!  Yep - that's right!!  It's early morning with Breakfast!!

Pancake Breakfast!! 

KC River Fest! July 2 and 3rd!!

KCRiverFest will be held on Saturday, July 2 and Sunday, July 3 from 1:00pm – 11:00pm, with both days full of live music on multiple stages, carnival rides and games, delicious food, fun entertainment, local vendors and top-notch fireworks.

Plus Lowery Carnival Company will be at the riverfront. With more than a dozen carnival rides, tons of games and fun activities, there's something for everyone at KCRiverFest. The Carnival will be open Friday July 1 - Sun Jul 3rd.  $15.00 "all you can ride" tickets!  On Sat the music & fun starts around 1 pm and goes thru aboout 10 pm. Check out the schedule!
